Congratulations to Tommy O
Tom O'Malley plays his 200th ROCS game on Saturday.
He began his career with the club in 2012.
"Tommy O" made 2 appearances for the ROCS' B grade in 2012 whilst still at the College, and quickly developed into a reliable and consistent defender/mid-fielder.
In 2015 he played in the Div.1 Reserves premiership, and in 2018 was in the squad that took out the Australian Champions League (pre season knockout competition).
In 2018 he was appointed B Grade captain.
Other awards have included :
2013 - B Grade Coach's Award
2018 - B Grade Best Team Man
2020 - A Grade best player in Finals. Tom was also our best player in the 2020 Div1 Grand Final
2021 - A Grade Most Courageous
2023 - A Grade Coach's Award.
An excellent club man, and a quiet achiever, Tom has played in three Div1A Grand Finals.
Together with Tom's brothers, Charlie (163 games) and Will (205 games), the O'Malley's continue to make an outstanding contribution to the history of the ROCFC.
Congratulations to Tom on reaching the 200 games milestone for the Rostrevor Old Collegians’ Football Club.
PS Currently James Butterworth is on 199 games and hopefully not too long on the side lines and back playing in game 200 very soon.
