D Grade Report – Round 15
Rocs Academy travelled to the City Parklands to challenge PAOC with fantastic football conditions & a #200 game milestone for Rocs Legend Luke (Moses) DuBois. PAOC started with plenty of run & precision going forward, Rocs defence held on under immense pressure but couldn't find any direct avenue to score. Princes eventually booting quick goals leaving Rocs to play catch-up football, this pattern of play continued throughout the first half of an entertaining game.
1/2-time scores Rocs 2-5 vs PAOC 6-4.
Rocs rose to the challenge of the second half & produced a better team game, keeping up immense pressure on the player & contest outscoring Princes to eventually trail buy a reachable 16pts. Great goals to Moses & Fabian Di-Iulio (moved forward) kept our squad in the hunt.
3/4-time scores Rocs 5-6 vs PAOC 7-10.
Rocs tried gallantry to close the score differential but ultimately ran out of fresh legs in the desperate chase.
Final score Rocs 6-7 def by PAOC 9-12.
Solid efforts from Andy Condo, Will McDonald, Jake Kelly & Alex Partington who have given their best to the Team & improved their outputs each game in their freshman year.
