A Grade Report - R16
The A grade faced SPOC away from home on Saturday. we started the game very poorly and things didn't get much better as the day went on. Not many positives, if any, to take out of the match and all the credit has to go to SPOC with how they went about it.
SPOC ran away with the game and won by 107 points.
Tullio DeMatteis played his 100th game on the weekend and tried hard all day and Lewis McCormack played his 50th game, and after a poor first half, really lifted in the second half and held his own. Others who played well were Cameron De Visser and Will Mead.
We would also like to congratulate Ryan Lymn on his debut for the A grade! a legend of a bloke and deserved his opportunity to play on the weekend.
Embarrassing weekend for the A grade and all the group can do now is try and salvage the season and do our best to finish in a positive manner.

B Grade Report - R16
The B Grade went down to SPOC: 14.2.86 def ROCs: 3.12.30.
The team started the game poorly and was completely out played in the first quarter, heading in to quarter time 7 goals behind. The rest of the game was tightly contested however our ability to finish off our work particularly in front of goal proved costly.
H. Swanbury was our best player on the ground, going to one of their dangerous forwards early in the piece, completely shut him down and also providing good rebound for us. J. Tarca’s tackling pressure and effort in our forward half also stood out. L. Ball won his position and provided lots of drive from defence. J. Duperouzel and S. Dubois worked really hard all day in the midfield.
With only two games remaining it is very important that we finish off the season well starting with training this week.

C Grade Report - R16
Another tough day at the office for the C Grade team, with a 5.12 to 9.8 loss to a strong SPOC team.
Having won the toss and kicking with the wind, a one goal six first quarter and a SPOC 4.3 second quarter ultimately left us playing catch up on the score board. However, once again the endeavor of the boys was second to none and really showed how committed the boys are to finishing off the season strong. Sam Hearn was our best player on the day, playing across half forward and the midfield he really showed some class. Henry Warren was next best and continued his good form of late. Trent Versace was next best with his experience and leadership around the ground on show. Will Sullivan and Kane Cini were our next best and their seasons have been top class. Tom Warren was our best team man on the day. Goal Kickers were Kane Cini, Matt Mezzini, Dan Leonard (Up there with goal of the season) Tom Matsis and Sam Hearn all with 1.
With only two games left for the C grade this season, we will look to bounce back and get a couple of wins to finish of the season.

D Grade Report - R17
Great challenge for the Rocs Academy line up taking on reigning premiers St. Peters in another blockbuster 4 game fixture.
Rocs down on numbers this weekend but high on confidence started the game with our trademark pressure around the contests and kept pace with the Saints during the first qtr . In heavy ground conditions both sides needed to be clean with ball movement & the Saints always had the opportunity to finish their attacking plays with time & space for their forward line to create nightmares for the Rocs defence. Saints held a 9 point lead to start the second term and in a tight contest Rocs quick movement forward resulting in scoreboard pressure had us trailing by a point deep into the last few minutes before halftime. Saints rattled on 3 late goals to shatter the Rocs confidence by 1/2 time & we were powerless to stop a rampant Saints dominating the scoreboard & cruising to a big win. Final scores Rocs 6-4 def by St .Peters OC 16-17.
Best players: - R.McNamara, P.Fantasia, S.Tagg, H.Shoari, J.McInerny. Best team man H.Twiggs (50 games). Goalkickers: H.Shoari 2, S.Emanuele 1, S.Marotti 1, P.Norris 1, P.Russo 1.
Great game by Rocs latest mature age recruit Hamid Shoari booting 2 goals in his 3rd game ever of Aussie rules footy, already a favourite among the Rocs players Hamid's efforts put a huge smile on his teammates and supporters on a bad day out.
