Milestones: Jack Draper played his 50th game for the club, whilst Peter Sianis is set to reach the same mark this Saturday.
Paul Norris to play his 300th next game:
(With the 7 day lockdown hopefully this is the weekend of 31/07/21 - tbc)
Paul "Chuck" Norris is set to reach the 300 games milestone when the footy returns from lockdown.
Paul started his football with the St. Joseph's Hectorville Year 4/5's. He attended Rostrevor College in 1995-1999, and played 8A's and 9A's. He missed Year 10 through injury, and returned to play 2nd XVIII's in his last 2 years at the College.
In 2000 Paul had a season with the Norwood Under 19's, before moving to ROCS in 2001. The 39 year-old has since played at A, B, C and D grade levels. Chuck was coached in the A's by Tim Hart and Matthew Dawes, and has been an important part of C Grade premierships in 2004 and 2013. In 2019 he captained the club's D Grade. Paul becomes only the 3rd ROCS player to reach the 300 game mark, with only Brian Carey (300) and Simon Emanuele (370) having reached the milestone earlier.
His brother Glenn (54 games) has played alongside Paul at ROCS in recent years, Their father Keith, is Steve Edwards' Team Manager. With the continued support of his lovely wife Mai and three year-old William James, Chuck has deservedly reached the magical 300.
Congratulations Chuck from everyone at ROCERLAND.
Special mention to old scholar Anzac Lochowiak on making his League debut for Sturt in the SANFL.

A Grade Report - R14
The A grade played Payneham NU at Campbelltown Oval on Saturday.
ROC's started the game strong however were very wasteful in front of goal, kicking four goals and eight points in the first half. Payneham fought hard all day and broke ROC's early in the fourth quarter to run away with a 24 point victory. For the second week in a row, James Butterworth was best on the ground playing in the ruck, Will Mead was solid defensively all day and Tullio DeMatteis gave ROCS a lot of offensive drive all day.
ROC's have a bye next week and will be using the opportunity to have a hard training block for 3 to 4 weeks before, hopefully, beginning a finals campaign. After the bye, ROC's play Brighton away and we look forward to seeing you all there.

B Grade Report - R14
The B Grade went down to Payneham in a very important game over the weekend- Final scores: Payneham 7.10.52 defeating ROCs 5.6.36
The match was close for the first three quarters but Payneham pulled away in the last to record a relatively comfortable victory in the end. The side was beaten in the midfield and gave up too many chances for the opposition to score late in quarters.
The side had 3 goal scorers which were T. McCormack with 3 and D. Fitzsimmons & N. Karagich who kicked one each. J. Draper was fantastic down back in his 50th game for the club as well as H Swanbury and J. Tarca who won their position. L. Ball for the second week in a row was outstanding - it’s fantastic to see his confidence growing each week. T. McCormack was lively forward of the ground and ended up with 3.
The B Grade look forward to a return to winning form after the bye.

C Grade Report - R14
The C grade had probably its worst performance it has had in the last 6 weeks of football. Final scores 4.5 to 9.20.
We were totally out played for the day and it there wasn’t too much to be pleased about. However, there were a few boys who held their own across the day. Kane Cini was once again in our best player being judge best aground with his big day in the ruck and good work around the ground. Back from a few weeks away Henry Warren was next best with his efforts around the footy always there. Then Tom Warren despite his yellow card to end the day rounded out a small group of players who played well and gave it as much as they could. Goal kickers were Will Sullivan with 2, Henry Dawson and Jayden Smith with one each.
We have the week off but are looking forward to bouncing back the week after against Brighton.

D Grade Report - R14
A prime time Twilight special to finish a quadruple header at Roc Park this week with our challenge vs perennial competition heavyweights TeaTreeGully FC looming as dark as the Adelaide wintery conditions.
With the aid of a slight wind the Rocs teamwork and run set up plenty of attacking chances but we were unable to convert any goals from this early dominance. Rocs backline repelled any counter attacks from the hard bodied Gullies forward entries, keeping TTG scoreless. Pleasingly the Rocs pressure around the contests lasted the distance in this 1st stanza , without dropping off & letting the opposition back into the contest. 1/4 time scores Rocs 0-6 vs TTGully 0-0.
Rocs continued to work extremely hard to take hold of proceedings , finally kicking truly to reward all the Team for their persistent pressure & hard work. In a physical contest the Rocs Academy side kept applying pressure around the contests ending the first half with a well deserved 18 pt lead 1/2 time scores Rocs 3-9 vs TTGULLY 1-3.
In an old fashioned slog through the 2nd half both sides dominated general play evenly but the Gullies capitalised on their forward entry's better than our Red&Blacks booting 4-4 to Rocs 1-5 forcing their way into the contest with the gallant
Rocs lineup holding sway in a thriller by the barest of margins a solitary point. Final score Rocs 4-14 def TTGULLY 5-7.
Best players- T.Hurley, S.Tagg, J.McInerney, R.McNamara, J.Luppino. Best team man P.Fantasia.
Goalkickers- .P.Fantasia-2 , A.Cream -1, J.McInereny 1.
Huge thanks to some Rocs legends helping out the Academy lineup this week Slippery (Tom Hurley) with a BOG effort helped by "the Rolls Royce" Brendan Littler & Pablo (Paul Fantasia) 2 goals just adding some class to our efforts. Daniel Baillie also pulled on the Red&Black and was very influential in setting up plays until unfortunately injured .
