All four grades played Tea Tree Gully
All four grades played Tea Tree Gully on Saturday, with the Campbelltown Memorial Oval hosting the triple-header.
Please see Coaches reviews below.
Milestones : This Saturday Tim Lewis and Ben Davies will play their 50th game for ROCS.
The tripleheader this week is at Payneham - the C8 match is at the Quarry.
I would like to acknowledge the hard work done by all our team managers : Andrew Michelmore, David Moyle, John Lewis and in particular Keith Norris who already has done a full season's amount of work. Our regular Timekeepers/Match Day Officials, Dean Lord and Bob Sutherland, continue to work tirelessly for the club. Also many thanks to Claude Beltrame for all his photography work on match days.

A Grade Report - R5
The A Grade played a young Tea Tree Gully side on Saturday.
For the second week in a row we were slow to start, with many unforced errors costing us goals. The boys responded well in the second quarter to go in at half time 10 points up.
The second half was very disappointing as we continued to turn the football over in dangerous positions. Tea Tree Gully ran out the game much stronger than us, winning by 22 points.
Patrick Dawson played his best game for the year on the wing while Jake Veide and Charles Jordan also contributed well.
We are now sitting at 2 and 3 and have a must win game upcoming against Payneham at Payneham Oval.We hope to see you all there.

B Grade Report - R5
The team bounced back well from a couple of disappointing results the two previous weeks with an impressive performance against TTG, final scores: ROCs - 12.12 def TTG - 3.3
Goal kickers were Chris Ash, Daniel Carbone, Nick Karagich and Ryan Lymn with 2 each and Jason Cavuoto, Adam Greenwood, Adam Richter and James McGuinness kicked one.
Our physicality and pressure was the highlight lead by first year players Adam and Michael Greenwood. It was Daniel Carbone’s first game back from injury and he was outstanding in the middle.
Travis Whittle and Jarryd Ball set us up well defensively and made it very hard for the opposition to score, James McGuinness and Thomas Hill also had great games.
We have a big month ahead which starts this weekend against Payneham, look forward to seeing you all out there!

C Grade Report - R5
Coming into the game the boys were confident after a strong second half performance last week. Unfortunately the boys couldn’t come away with a win against a very experienced Tea Tree Gully side going down 11.5 to 5.9
I could not fault the effort of the boys which was outstanding all day and was on very early when it hasn’t been for the last few weeks. It was the little things on the day that didn’t work out for the C grade, not very clean with the ball, at times little voice and moments of confusion on the field ultimately cost us the game.
However, there was some outstanding hard ball gets and plays throughout the game that are great stepping stones to which the team can build on in a big game against Payneham this week.
Best on ground went to Lewis Matsis in only his 4th game for the club with his strong ball movement and reading of the play in the back lines. Will Sullivan again played well on the wing and his attack on the ball was outstanding.
Max Mckay was another back man that stood up again and worked extremely well with others to fend of attacks. Our ruckman Sam Dubios was dominant all day and Midfielder Darren Leggett provide lots of physicality and showed the way for the young team. Best team man and another back man went to Captain Tim Lewis for his strong voice and effort down back.
Lots of positives to take out of the game and we look forward to the game this week.

D Grade Report - R6
A road trip to TTG Oval in "real" footy conditions had the Rocs Academy side looking forward to the challenge of an extremely unhappy hunting ground in Rd5.
Fast paced footy from both sides early on had Gullies using the ball more effectively as the Rocs Academy fumbled from easy kicks, wasted our disposals & gave up hard fought field position, but still worked hard enough to trail by only 6pts.
1/4 time Rocs 1-3 vs TTG 2-3.
As the rain tumbled down & effected the playing conditions Rocs perseverance & desire to be first to the ball had us back in the contest , going into the long break with a slender 1 pt lead . 1/2 Time Rocs 4-6 vs TTG 4-5
The second half was all Gullies as their stronger & experienced players kicked clear of the Rocs to win by 23 pts. Our Boys never gave up or stopped trying their best until the final siren . Final score Rocs 7-10 vs TTG 11-9.
Huge congratulations to 3 players that featured in our best. JMac (Justin McInerney) - gave his all for the team, rucking all-day & ran hard to position or contests in a superb display. Dan (Iron Chef) Cook - unstoppable force across halfback
In only his 4th game for Rocs & continues to improve each outing. Stevie J (Marotti) - Rocs captain again led the way in our forward line with his efforts creating headaches for the TTG defence.
Best- D.Cook, J.McInerney, S.Tagg, S.Marrotti, P.Russo
Goals- S.Marotti -2, V.Clemente -1,D.Pointon -1, S.Tagg -1, M.Zampareli -1, Albert (on Debut) Connelly -1
