Pre-season Training 2021
Update from the Football Director
Pre-season training for the 2021 season commenced at Rostrevor College on December 7, under the watchful eyes of Nick Murphy and Will O'Malley (A Grade coaches), John Corbett (Assistant A Grade coach), Steve Edwards (D Grade) and John Turner (Fitness Coach).
The B/C Grade coaches will be announced in the New Year.
The early signs are encouraging with several new faces set to join the ROCFC.
Cameron De Visser (ex - South Ad ) and Shannon Snook ( ex - Glenelg/South Ad) have transferred from Kaniva, and Will Mead has returned from West Adelaide. Lachlan Ball and Lewis McCormack have made welcomed comebacks from long term injuries. Jonah Duperouzel is back training, as is Dylan Fitzsimons and Dan Fraser. Nathan Surman is expected to return from Athelstone.
Several of the 2020 Year 12 students have also started training with the group including : Zac Aufderheide, Patrick Baldwin, Michael Greenwood, James McGuinness, Lewis Matsis, Jack Thoday and Samuel Warren. Lorenzo Fantarella and Jacob Scutella are amongst other old scholars who have been out training. Trav Whittle (Hawthorn Amateurs, VAFA) has moved from Victoria.
Pre-season trials have been arranged against Old Iggies (13/3), Broadview (20/3) and SPOC (27/3).
Round 1 begins on April 10, 2021.
