Week 1 - Finals Report
ROCS vs Brighton
The ROCS A Grade kicked off their 2020 finals campaign with a solid win against Brighton, at the Campbelltown Memorial Oval. The teams had met the previous week, and whilst we went in unchanged, the Bombers were strengthened by the return of several players.
Final scores : ROCS 16.15 to Brighton 7.12 (Half time: 8.8 to 4.4).
Tim Baccanello (4 goals) was brilliant. Sam Jonas was impassable. Murphy Short and Kieran Holland (1 goal) were clean and provided plenty of rebound. James Butterworth rucked tirelessly all day, whilst Dan McCallum continued on with his good form. Others to play well included Charles and James Jordan, Patrick Dawson, Stefan Lanzoni, Nick Murphy and Paul Fantasia.
ROCS will now play Prince Alfred Old Collegians in the 1st Semi-Final at the University Oval, this Saturday at 2.15pm.
