Simon Emanuele will play his 350th game for ROCS

This weekend against Lockleys, at Campbelltown 2.30pm

Club legend Simon "Simmo" Emanuele will play his 350th game for ROCS on the weekend against Lockleys, at Campbelltown.

The ROCS game record-holder made his debut in the opening round of the 1993 season. Now 43, he began his career before most of our current players were born.

A great clubman, he has also been an enthusiastic and hard working Treasurer since 2011. More recently he has also be in charge of our Merchandising.

Simmo has represented ROCS in all four grades, and was awarded Player Life Membership of the SAAFL in 2004 after making 150 appearances.

He was named captain of the 2007 C Grade, and was Runner-up in the ROCS C1 Best and Fairest the following season.

He then captained the C Grade from 2009 - 2016.

The highlight of Simmo's playing career has been captaining the C1 side to a flag in 2013.

Not surprisingly he has been named "Best Team Man" on several occasions : 2007, 2012, 2014, 2015.

At the 2015 AGM he was named Life Member of the ROCFC.

He is the only player in the club's history to play over 300 games - Brian Carey was the first to reach the 300 mark.

The ROCFC congratulates Simmo on reaching the milestone, and hopes he will continue to wear the Red and Black jumper in 2021, and beyond.
