Finals - A Grade - Week 1
ROCFC vs PAOC
The ROCS A Grade started their 2019 finals campaign with a 9 point loss to Prince Alfred Old Collegians, on the Campbelltown Memorial Oval, on Saturday.
Kicking into the wind in the first quarter, ROCS trailed by 13 points at the first break, and then by 15 points at the next two.
Despite a spirited final quarter, ROCS were unable to make the most of their opportunities and we were eventually defeated 10.16 to 13.7.
Heath Commane kicked 5 majors and was our best player. Tullio De Matteis was back to his best, and others to play well included the consistent Luke Manuel, dangerous forward Michael Coad and tireless ruckman James Butterworth.
The team now needs to beat SPOC at home to remain in the finals race.
Earlier in the week the count was held for the minor medals.
