A Grade Report - R13

The A Grade put in a very pleasing four quarter effort on Saturday against SPOC, which now puts us three games and percentage clear in third place.

Our pressure early from the likes of James and Charlie Jordan set the tone for day and enabled us to kick 4 goals in the first quarter and take control of the game.

The most pleasing aspect from there was the consistency of effort from the playing group, never really letting SPOC back into the contest. Patrick Dawson (5 goals) and Michael Coad (3 goals) were dangerous up forward. Luke Manual was sensational through the middle and Tom O’Malley found plenty of the ball on his wing. Will Mead was again very solid down back providing plenty of run.

With five games to go we have given ourselves a great opportunity to finish top 3. We play Brighton after the bye at Campbelltown and your support would be greatly appreciated.

Will O'Malley
A-Grade Coach

B Grade Report - R13

ROCS went down to St Peters OC : 3.2 to 11.7. Craig Holm was our best in his return match after serious injury, and a subsequent 13 month lay-off. Kane Cini was our best big man, and others to play well were Matt Leigh, Jack Draper, Lachlan Ball and Adam Richter (2 goals). The B's have now slipped out of the top 5, but in a very tight competition, go into next week's bye just 2 points from top.

C Grade Report -R13

The C's poor kicking for goal early in the match ultimately went a long way to costing them victory against SPOCS. Final scores: 3.14 to 5.4. Justin McInerney (2 goals) was best. Sam Tagg was impressive in his first game back after a long term injury. Jarrod Varley, Jack McCarron and Alex Pietrobon all had good games. The C's are in third spot and have this Saturday off.

D Grade Report - R13

ROCS lost by 11 points to the undefeated Tea Tree Gully, at TTG: 6.3 to 6.14. Despite the loss, "Super-coach" Edwards was reasonably satisfied with the game overall , given how many players were unavailable for selection. Luke Skoblyk continues to play well, as does workhorse Anthony Cream and the ageless Sam Bridge. Fergus Shanahan played one of his best games for the club, whilst Sam Millard, Adam Goodwin, Simon Emanuele and Jeremy O'Leary (2 goals) were all solid contributors. ROCS now sit third on the ladder, and this week are home to Adelaide University (5th) at the Quarry/ROC Park/CMO, at 2.15pm.

Milestones

The following players are all approaching milestone games : Michael Coad (currently 49 games), Zac Noonan (49), Glen Castellano (99) and Scott Littler (99).
