R9 Reports
All 4 grades had wins on Saturday
In another very good day for the ROCFC, all 4 grades had wins on Saturday.
A-Grade Report V Henley
The A grade returned after the bye to face Henley at Cambelltown Oval and started the game strongly kicking the first 5 goals of the game. Both Michael Coad (7 goals) and Patrick Dawson (5 goals) looked very dangerous up forward and Luke Manuel was winning a lot of footy through the middle of the ground.
We played patchy football in both the second and third quarters and only led by 5 goals at the final change. We seemed to switch back on early in the last quarter after Henley closed the margin to 4 goals, having 11 shots on goal and running out 52 point winners. Along with Coad, Dawson and Manuel, Sam Jonas chopped off really well at Half back and Daniel Mccallum found plenty of football on ball.
We play PAC this weekend away in a top of the table clash. We can go top of the ladder with a victory and your support would be greatly appreciated. Luke Manuel plays his 150th game for the club.

B Grade
Coach Damien Polkinghorne appeared to have the toughest task , playing top side Henley, and having to make several forced changes from the previous round. In an entertaining encounter, ROCS ran out winners: 13.9 to 10.6. Lachlan Ball continues to develop, and was our best. James Telfer was solid, and his form also continues to improve. Peter Vorrasi and Chris Ash showed their class and experience and were well supported by Joe Tarca and Josh Massie. Dylan Fitzsimons and Tom McCormack were very important contributors with 3 majors each. The B's are just outside the five on percentage, and this week play fifth placed Prince Alfred Old Collegians in another important clash.
C Grade
Down by 1 point against Henley at half time, the C's ran out eventual winners : 12.7 to 10.7. Jarryd Ball was best on ground. "The General" Jarrod Varley was next best, followed by Isaac Ivancic, Jake Bowler, Matthew "Butch" McPeake and Julian Tripodi. Goalsneaks Dan Gilbert and "Stevie J" Marotti kicked 3 and 2 goals respectively. Coach Mark Twiggs has the side well positioned at the halfway mark of the season - in second spot with 7 wins and 2 losses. This week they play fourth placed Prince Alfred Old Collegians (Park 9, 10.15 a.m.).
D Grade
In Saturday's night game, Steve "Supercoach" Edwards led his side to a thumping victory over Modbury : 18.23 to 0.1. The game had been close early, with the quarter time scores being 1.4 to 0.1. The vote for best on ground went to Max Lawrance. Next best was Max McKay. Others to play well included Anthony Cream, Brodie Moore, Michael Trevarrow, Sam Moten, Paul Norris (3 goals), Michael Brennan and George Connelly. The team is sitting third on the table, and now plays Golden Grove at the Quarry on Saturday.
*** The club has 152 registered players for 2019. 132 have represented the ROCFC so far this season, with 32 making their ROCS debut. ***
