A Grade Report - R3

A-Grade Report V TTG from Club Coach Will O'Malley

After serving up a disappointing performance in Round 2 against Payneham, the boys bounced out of the blocks against Tea Tree Gully really well. I was very pleased with the pressure we put on the opposition, especially through the midfield.

The forward line started to capitalise on the many opportunities the midfield were creating and by half time we had taken full control of the game. Coad, Commane and Fantasia all looked dangerous up forward and Butterworth was giving our midfielders first use.

We made a point at half time not to change the way we were approaching the game and the boys continued to apply pressure all over the field. Our back 6 were dominant and Manual and McCallum got plenty of the ball through the midfield, while also hitting the scoreboard.

The highlight of the game came in last quarter when club legend Chris Pahl kicked a goal in his 200th appearance for the club. On and off the field, Chris has been a champion and it was fantastic that the boys could honour him with a 4 quarter performance on the weekend.

We had good players all over the field but Michael Coad (9 goals) Heath Commane (7 goals) Luke Manual (2 goals) Daniel McCallum (3 goals) Tullio Dematteis (1 goal) and James Butterworth were named in the best players.

We venture down to St Peters next Saturday in a very important game. Your supported would be greatly appreciated.
