R2 vs Payneham
Dear Members & Sponsors,
A very slow start was the downfall of the A grade on the weekend. Trailing by 5 goals late in the first quarter, it was always going to be tough to make that amount of ground back. The boys certainly didn't stop trying, getting as close as two goals in the last quarter but Payneham had too much fire power in the end, running out 4 goal winners.
Peter Vorassi played very well as a small lock down defender, Daniel Mccallum got plenty of the football across half back and through the midfield and Luke Manual continued on his good form from Round 1. Paul Fantasia was certainly our most dangerous forward kicking 3 goals.
I was very pleased with the debut of Anthony McCarthy and continued improvement from Ferghus Kernahan.
We face TTG at Cambelltown Oval on Saturday week, please get along and support the boys.
