Lach Bowler was best on ground, followed by Jono Harrison. Harry Simpson, Luke Turner, Justin McInerney, and "The General" Jarrod Varley, all had very good games. Young skipper Dan Franzon was named Best Team Man. The win keeps Mark Twiggs' team in touch with the top 5, and next week have a forfeit  (89 point win) against Modbury.

The C Grade had this week off, but will be looking to take the points against Athelstone next week (starting time 9.45am.)

The B's had an important clash against Tea Tree Gully, at Thebby Oval. In a spirited encounter, ROCS ran out winners : 13.4 to 5.7.  The side is second on the table on equal points with Goodwood Saints (9 wins/3 losses) Joe Tarca played his best game at this level. Connor Deegan has quickly found form after a lengthy break. Others to impress included Jackson Sutcliffe, Mitchell Warren, first-gamer Cameron Ball, Dylan Fitzsimons, Andrew Bachmann, Jack Draper, Ferghus Kernahan and Lewis McCormack (3 goals). Chris Ash, Tyler Gava and Adam Richter kicked 2 each. It was an impressive win, and next week ROCS face Athelstone at Thebarton Oval. (starting time 11.45 am.)

James Jordan was best, followed by Tullio De Matteis, Sam Jonas, Will Mead, Jack Nelligan, Patrick Dawson (3 goals) and Tim Baccanello (also Best Team Man).Heath Commane kicked 3 majors. The win gives ROCS a handy 5 point buffer at the top of the ladder, with 6 minor round games remaining. It currently is on 10 wins from 12 starts. Saturday's game against the Raggies starts at 1.45pm.

This week Charlie Jordan reached his 100 game milestone for the ROCFC. "Fridge" made his debut for ROCS in 2012, playing 2 games whilst still at school. A tough and fearless footballer, he always gives 100% whether it be on the training track or in a game. He has worked hard at consolidating his spot in the A's, and last season was an important member of the Div 1 premiership team. In 2015 he had also been part of the Reserves premiership win.

This Saturday will be a Motor Neurone Disease Awareness Day to raise funds for research into this terrible disease and to support Chris Grigg, a legendary Athelstone footballer and father of ROCs player Ryan.
