Round 12 Report

A's & B's vs TTG and C's vs Modbury

The C Grade was defeated  in its away clash with Modbury:  11.11 to 2.0. Nathan Czernich was our best, and Mick Aloisi was again prominent. Others to impress included Joe Tarca, Jarrod Varley, John McCarron and Glenn Norris. "Super-coach" Edwards  will be keen for his team to bounce back this week, when it plays SPOC away, at 12.15 pm.

Damien Polkinghorne's  B Grade was at home to Tea Tree Gully, and were outplayed 13.4 to 2.5. Nathan Hornhardt was best for ROCS, Tom O'Malley was solid, Matt Walker, Sam and Jack Tagg, all worked hard. The B's are also away to SPOC, at their usual 12.15 time-slot.

The B and C grade coaches will be hoping to get several players back for Round 13 - the following week is a bye.

The main game saw Adrian Rocco's men play Tea Tree Gully in an important, top of the table clash. After an even first half, ROCS had an impressive third quarter ( 7 goals to nil), and ran out winners 14.13 to 6.11. Michael Coad (7 goals) was best on ground, in a game where "All played well". Braden Allen and James Jordan were strong as always and Anthony Medhurst was excellent in his return to the A's. Others to play well included captain Will O'Malley, Will Mead, Tullio DeMatteis, Tom Hurley (4 goals) and Jacob Gillbee. The win consolidated ROCS' position on the table, putting it a game (and percentage) clear of second placed TTG.

All 3 grades have had 10 wins from 12 starts, and now are away for the remainder of the minor round.
