Pre season 2017
Pre-Season starts 28th November at 6pm at Rostrevor College
Welcome to the upcoming 2017 season. I look forward to catching up with you all when pre season officially kicks of at the school top oval on the 28th November at 6pm.
The pre xmas training dates and locations are as follows
28th November ( Monday ) 6pm School top oval
1st December ( Thursday ) 6pm School top oval
5th December ( Monday ) 6pm School top oval
8th December ( Thursday ) 6pm School top oval
10th December ( Saturday ) 9am Walkerville
12th December ( Monday ) 6pm School top oval
15th December ( Thursday ) 6pm School top oval
17th December ( Saturday ) 9am Burnside
19th December ( Monday ) 6pm School top oval
21st December ( Wednesday ) 6pm School top oval
We will then break for xmas & recommence on Monday the 9th January at 6pm at the School top oval.
It will be an exciting year for us and the best way to build momentum is to get maximum numbers on the track from day 1.
We are hopeful of fielding a 4th side but the only way for that to happen is to get numbers out early. For my part I will cater for all standards of fitness & skill throughout pre season so don’t be put off . Get out and get involved.
Polky & Steve have already agreed to continue in their B & C grade coaching roles and Wab’s & Vicki have also agreed to continue their great work in the medical rooms.
We welcome Greg Moulton as an assistant coach. A lot of you will know Greg through his various roles at Adelaide, Norwood & Carlton. I am sure most of you will also know Michael Coad who has joined us from Sturt & Gold Coast.
Michael will play & also be our defensive coach. Greg & Michael will be great assets whether it be on the field or in their coaching capacity or as mentors to our younger group of players.
There are also a number of old Roc’s boys keen to put the Red & Black jumper back on.
To all of the current year 12 boys, firstly all the best for your upcoming exams and please accept my warmest welcome to attend training once exams are over.
