Round 15 Report

On a day of significant player milestones, ROCS were successful in all 3 grades.

The C Grade got us off to a great start, with a hard fought match against SHOC's, eventually running out winners by 11 points.

Simon Emanuele (300th) was reliable as always, and Tom Moore (150th) was high in the best player list, with 2 important goals from long range. Sam Lynch was named best, and others to play well included Tyler Gava, Joe Tarca, Marcus Quinn and Steve Marotti.

The B's continued their improvement, defeating Payneham Norwood Union by 9 points. Despite having to replace almost half the team from the previous week, Damien Polkinghorne managed to guide his team over the line. Ben Jonas was excellent, whilst  Beau Williamson, Bailey Nisbett and Nick Holland also played very well. Ryan Grigg continues to impress, and Adam Richter kicked 3 vital goals.

The A's defeated PNU: 17.16 to 11.8. Brendan Littler and Tim Baccanello were superb, and other better players included Kieran Holland, Paul Fantasia (3 goals),
Daniel Bell (2 majors in his 50th game), and Heath Commane (5 goals).

Next Saturday, the ROCFC are home to Adelaide University in all three grades. The C's will be playing for top spot. The B's will be striving to continue their climb up the premiership ladder, whilst the A's will be hoping to keep pushing for a double chance.

The players and coaches greatly appreciated the crowd support last weekend, and look forward to a similar turnout this Saturday.
