Round 10 Report

R10 vs TTG A' & B's & C's vs Athelstone

Dear Members & Sponsors

For one of the few weeks this season, the club was not involved in a triple-header on Saturday.

In what was always going to be a tough away game, The C Grade battled manfully against a solid Athelstone line-up.

Despite having a fair amount of the play, ROCS finally went down by 4 goals. Nick McDonough was our best player, Michael De Palma continued his good form from last week, and the old man from the "Quarry" Simon Emanuele, was as safe as ever, as he continues to sneak up on the 300 game milestone. Marcus Quinn was good in ruck and Michael Ciaramella played well in his second game since his comeback.

The B's were soundly beaten by Tea Tree Gully, at Pertaringa Oval. The undermanned ROCS team lost by 84 points. Ryan Grigg was named best. Sam Du Bois rucked very well, and other good players included Josh O'Leary,  Lachlan Kitson, Nick Holland and Brodie Moore. Special mentions to Paul Norris and Kristian Burchett, who were asked to play two games on the one day.

The A's struggled against a confident Gullies outfit. Outscored every quarter, ROCS lost by 64 points. Brendan Littler was excellent, whilst Kieran Holland, Tom Hurley, Craig Holm, James Jordan and Luke Allen also played well. Paul Fantasia had his moments with 3 goals from limited chances.

Congratulations to "Holmy" on playing his 100th game and Ollie Wilkie his 50th.

This week we are back home against Goodwood Saints.
