ROCFC vs Port Districts - R3 Coaches Report

A draw is always a difficult result to swallow after two hours of footy and so it was the case for our boys after trailing again for most of Saturdays match against Port Districts.

We are yet to win a coin toss this season and have found ourselves kicking into the breeze in every first quarter and seem to spend the rest of the game trying to play catch up.

In what was a really tight contest we had all the momentum in the last quarter but just couldnt get our noses in front in a very short last quarter.

It was pleasing again to see an A grade debut for Josh Weaver and his guernsey was presented by former coach and player and acting runner for the day Matty Dawes. Thanks Dawesy!

Best players were again difficult to select but Spud Baccanello played his best game for the year, Gubby Allen continued his solid form and Connor Deegan showed some exciting passages.

Nick Hombsch and Heath Commane also provided good avenues in attack and kicked three goals each.

This week we have the competition early pace setter PAC back at home after two weeks away.

It would be great to secure our first home win and hopefully we see the return of some of our injured players.

See you at the footy.
