A's go down by 2 points in a cliff hanger against the Blacks
A Grade Report
Literally a game of inches played in a finals like atmosphere where we were desperately unlucky not to win, however, Uni would also believe that they deserved victory. We played really positively early to lead at quarter time. They kicked away late in the second to lead by 20 points, a handy lead in the conditions. We held sway in the third quarter without much scoring from either side and charged home for most of the last term to just fall short.
It was a loss full of courage and character where the result was disappointing, however, our effort was quite inspiring. SPOC is a massive game this week so we hope for a big crowd. Best players were Will O'Malley, Craig Holm, Ryan Holm, Drew Litster, Ben Moyle, Scott Littler.

Playing the top side was always going to be a challenge, particularly with 3 of our most consistent contributors out due to work, exams and injury. Despite this we started the game full of energy and run and looked dangerous moving forward. Unfortunately as has been the pattern all year, our second term was uncompetitive and our work rate was non-existent and this quarter was where Uni won it. To the guys credit after half time we fought the game out and didn't get completely blown away. Our strongest footy can match any team, however we need to present it for the full 4 quarters.
Damien Moyle was skilful and attacking on a centre wing, Dave Eckert and Julian Ryan provided consistent contests up forward and the defence led by Paul Bannister, Eamon Hanna and Mark Green were courageous. Tim Felice maximised opportunities and kicked 3 goals in the second half and Charlie O'Malley returned to some form back in defence.

Going into today's game the C's and Uni were equal 2nd with 6 wins. Unfortunately the game did not reflect the ladder positions as we were smashed by Uni from go to whoa. In what was easily our worst performance for the season we were completely uncompetitive in all facets of the game; our attitude and mindset was horrendous, our attack on the footy was weak, our skills were diabolical and our interest in the contest was non existent.
All in all we were virtually a rabble and to be frank best players were impossible to find.
Our challenge is to put this result behind us, train well during the week and lift ourselves for a crucial game against SPOC.
