Coaches Report - R5
Triple Header against Goody Saints
Round 5 V Goodwood at Campbelltown Oval
With one point the difference at quarter time it was very disappointing to see us be so uncompetitive for the last three quarters. We were simply outworked around the contest, didn’t apply genuine pressure to the opposition when they had the footy, refused to be accountable and were sloppy with our ball use. All these factors allowed Goodwood to dominate us from the 10min mark of the second quarter right to the last siren, resulting in a final margin of 89 points.
The players and coaches understand that we can’t change what happened on Saturday. What we can do is put our heads down, work hard and do everything we can to ensure we learn from it and fix up the areas we were poor at. I can assure our supporters that the playing group and particularly the leaders are up for the challenge.
Congratulations to Luke Allen on playing his first A grade game for the club on Saturday and for acquitting himself quite well. The way he’s played his footy this year he looks to have an exciting and long future in the Red and Black.
