A's and C's continue undefeated run

A Grade Report - Rd 4 V TTG at Petaringa Oval

The A grade had a gutsy 19 point win against Tee Tree Gully on Saturday to continue our undefeated start to the season.

Playing his first A grade game this year John Harrison was lively up forward early, kicking 2 of our 5 first quarter goals. Youngsters Tom O’Malley and Daniel Bell also started well and both were instrumental in our win, which is great from two players so young.

Kicking with the wind in the second quarter we dominated possession, but for the second week in a row we failed to reward ourselves in front of goals, kicking 3.6 for the quarter. At half time the scores were ROCS 8.10 to TTG 4.2.

The second half was an even affair and both sides played some exciting football that I’m sure the crowd was enjoying. We always seemed to be in control of the game until about midway through the last quarter when TTG’s midfield started to get on top. But a steading late goal from Craig Holm ensured we went away with the 2 premiership points.

Next week we play a top of the table clash against the other undefeated side, Goodwood Saints at ROC Park. If last year’s ROCS V Goodwood games are anything to go by, this match is one you won’t want to miss! So buy up some ROCs merchandise and get to ROC Park to support the boys.
