Spectator behaviour
Message from the Club
Generally the behaviour of our spectators is terrific. However, every now and then some spectators cross a line that the SAAFL would define as ‘umpire abuse’. The League is getting very tough on this and has started to issue significant penalties. Last week another A1 Club was fined $1,000 for the abuse of umpires by spectators. In addition, this particular club will lose premiership points for 3 matches if there is a recurrence within 12 months.
These are penalties that our club cannot afford to incur. Please enjoy supporting our teams and focus on the performance of players not umpires.
