A Grade 11 goal win against Pembroke - Coaches Reports
A Grade Report
This was potentially a really difficult ask for us as we lost another four players to injury and unavailability during the week, including our main ruckman. Pembroke play on a small oval and have quite a few really tall players.
To our credit, our pressure was outstanding and we played fluent running team football for most of the day with some good finishing a highlight. We again established a lead early and then blew them away in the third quarter.
Better players were Ben Moyle, Will O'Malley, Anthony Medhurst, Drew Litster, Matt Footner,Tom Wigley and Scott Gilbert. With eight good players out injured, most of them talls, everyone should be proud of what we have achieved in the last fortnight as we look to build on these results.

B Grade Report
Regardless of the 6 changes we were forced to make for this game, we were bitterly disappointing across the day and for us to be the side we want to we need to move past being a competitive group of goers to finish games with energy and an uncompromising attitude.
After half time we lost our structures that got us into a good position at half time, we were terrible with our skill level and the work rate particularly in the last quarter was non existent. We are about playing quality team footy and developing players to step up for A grade. Sadly, on Saturday there was no one that really stood out as a potential A grader. The reality is that when challenged and put under relentless pressure from the opposition, we capitulated and failed to respond with a mental toughness consistent with a good side. We are not the most skilful side so when our skills are put under pressure, we are unable to execute and hit targets. Too many players are inconsistent with their performance both week to week and quarter to quarter. We lost an opportunity to sit outright third and give us a launching pad for the rest of the season.
On a positive note, Brendan Edson was solid down back and when moved forward in his first game at this level, Ben White was energetic and aggressive as a small forward and Trent Versace was reliable and courageous down back.
We must respond this week with a four quarter effort against a strong opponent.

C Grade Report
The C Grade played in a tight, spirited and well contested game against Pembroke OS and prevailed by 8 points. This win was highly satisfying for the C's as our opponent was willing and committed for four quarters. Played in perfect conditions the game was generally an open affair with both sides scoring freely and both defences under pressure. Ultimately, the result came down to the C's desire to get over the line.
This was a terrific team effort and there were several standout performers amongst an even contribution across the board. The better players on the day included Hayden Edwards, who dominated his wing, Corey McDonald who was excellent in the centre, Matt Zamparelli whose clean ball handling was a feature, Simon Emanuele who led the back line brilliantly and Paul Arnfield who was lively up forward and across the centre.
The C's are now sitting in fourth place and are well positioned for next week's game against Walkerville which will be Simon Emanuele's 200th.
