ROCS Family Day
The ROCS held a fantastic 'Family Day' of footy on Saturday 1st May against Athelstone FC at ROC Park.
Our home ground looked a picture on a beautiful 26 degree day and the sunshine seemed to spur the boys into action. Both the A's and B's enjoyed solid victories over local rivals the 'Raggies' and jump started our season after a few poor weeks. The positive vibe around the club through the week was reflected on the field and entertaining footy was enjoyed by a big crowd of around 300 people. Great to see lots of kids enjoying chocolate crackles and a face painter and we encourage past players and supporters to continue bringing the family along. Thanks to Stella Pedersen for helping to organise the day. That night the players stayed around the club to enjoy a BBQ and some tunes put on by Medler and Wigs to help raise vital footy trip funds and we now look forward to all three grades taking on Pembroke OC this Saturday. See you all at The Alma on Saturday night!
PS: Well done to the C grade who also did the job down at Wingfield to make it three from three on a big Saturday for the mighty ROCS!
