Coaches Report - Round 2
ROCS vs SPOC Round 2 saw the A's & B's line up against SPOC away and the C's hosting at Campbelltown.
A Grade Report - R2
Another winnable game which we let slip. SPOC were very desperate and their elite players contributed heavily on the scoreboard. In contrast, we were very poor in the first half, lacking skills and not manning up effectively. We played much better in the third quarter but didn't get enough value for possession and still allowed them to score too easily. In the last quarter, we stormed home kicking 7 goals to very narrowly fall short. This only highlights what could've been. Better players included Paul Fantasia, John Corbett, Craig Holm, Tom Wigley, Will O'Malley and Ryan Holm.
Congratulations to Drew Litster on reaching 200 games. Drew has been an outstanding player over a long period of time and a man who has put his heart and soul into the club. He deserves every accolade he has been given, Our club needs to ensure that in future milestone games we serve up much better efforts in recognition of our mates.

B Grade Report - R2
Playing against the Div 3 premiers in B grade last year was going to be another good challenge for the group. After an undisciplined first quarter where we were led to the ball and gave away unnecessary free kicks and 25 m penalties, we settled into the game and lead by a small margin at the half. Our second half was for the most part dominant. We played some exciting creative running football and were able to hit leading targets moving forward improving our conversion rate dramatically. We were lead well in the ruck by John Harrison and Chris Ash, our onballers in Ryan Castallano, Tom Taylor and John Trenorden made the most of first use of the footy continually driving us forward. Sam Bowler dominated his wing and provided speed, skill and poise. Our backline after half time were impenetrable, Trimboli, Versace, O'Malley and Nadeem Shadiac in his first game for the year provided us with strength, solidarity and absurdity when moving the ball out of defence. Pleasingly, our skill level improved across the board from last week and our structures were adhered to and gave us critical advantages in various areas, particular kick-ins and stoppages around the ground.
Paul Bannister in his 150th game for the club was inspiration, displaying on the traits we are used to from Banno, courage, conviction and strong leadership in a young side. Congratulations to the players for their efforts in winning their first game for the year and congratulations to Banno for 150 games.

C Grade Report - R2
Coming off a disappointing round 1 loss to Adelaide Uni the C grade put together an excellent four quarters to defeat St. Peter's Old Collegians by 147 points.
After a tight first quarter the C's played constructive, team oriented football to overwhelm the opposition. It was pleasing to see the team play unselfish football and to display a ruthless edge by kicking 13 goals in the last quarter.
It was definitely a case of all played well but there were some stand out performers. Tom Moore was superb across half forward, Tom Deegan was courageous and determined at half back, Patrick Murphy controlled the ruck, Brad Green dominated the clearances, Paul Arnfield was an excellent leading target, Paul Harris was great in the midfield and Darren Leggett and Hayden Edwards gave us terrific run and carry.
All in all it was a great team effort and we look forward to the round 3 challenge against Eastern Park.
