ROCS Ladies Day Report
The sun was out for ROCS Ladies Day 2011 in R7 with two great wins from the A & C grades (with the A’s now one game clear at the top of the D2 ladder).
The day commenced at 1pm and we saw a great number of ladies from the ROCS & UNI communities dressed to impress come together to enjoy wine, gossip & with a touch of footy at ROC Park!
It was fantastic to see faces that have been regular supporters of the day for over 5+ years - Kathie Bridge, Karen Gilbert, Pauline Mosel (with her Grandsons), Helena & Deana Pisani, Cate Birch, Anthea Bowler & Ros Schaftenaar just to name a few.
During the day prizes were presented to
BEST ROCS GROUPIE - Deana Pisani,
BEST UNI SUPPORTER - Anna Polkinghorne,
BEST MUM - Sue Manuel and
BEST DRESSED - Lucy McDonough.
Thanks to Bobby “The Colonel” Sandland and Tommy Brown for judging and excellent work behind the bar with Matty Halliwell, keeping the wine flowing and ladies happy all day.
Once again the player auction MC’ed by Anthony Medhurst at half time was a highlight with Ben Birch & Luke Manuel attracting big dollars. Craig Holm, Will O’Malley & Drew Lister were also all very popular with the ladies.
Thanks to everyone who helped out on the day – Moses, Matt, Pat, Simon, MC – Meds, Deegs, Birch, Bob, Browny, Cheese and a very big thanks to Robo & Jim who were very helpful once again on the day.
Special thanks must go to Tash Haldenby, Eliza Rundle, Ashley “Gluten Free” Edwards & Chantel James for all their hard work behind the scenes and fantastic hospitality on the day.
Our guests had a great time with many staying on for Mr ROC. In the words of DJ Moses – “Haven't seen the club cranking like that in years. We will have to continue the Ladies Day/Mr Roc combo”.
