40th Anniversary Function Update

Letter to the ROC's community from the President

Dear ROCs community

As most of you would be aware, this year marks the 40th anniversary of the formation of our club.

We have a very proud history and much to celebrate, including 20 premierships (5 A, 8 B & 7 C Grade), and 15 divisional player medals.

Every 10 years, we take the opportunity to come together and celebrate and reminisce about our many successes; it’s a great time to renew friendships and mix with old team-mates, coaches, officials, sponsors, volunteers and supporters.

Saturday Night August 9th 2014

Fittingly, this year’s event will take place in Purton Hall at Rostrevor College. The night will include a sit-down dinner and feature entertainment as well as the naming of the ‘Team of 40 Years’. We aim to make this our greatest celebration ever (but will still ensure that the night is affordable)

The success of this event if entirely dependent on gaining the support of all of those involved in the club over the last 40 years.

Table captains
We encourage all of those who would like to arrange for one or more tables for the night to contact the event organisers now. This gives you ample time to contact those that you would like to celebrate with on your own table.

Pat Bowler and Tony Cattrall will be contacting Rocers over the next month or so with the aim of gaining commitments to host tables; please assist them when they ring. If you’d like to get in first, please contact Pat (0416 283 0240416 283 024) or Tony (0431 044 7030431 044 703).

ROCs ladies are an integral part of our club. Wives, girl-friends, mums, volunteers
and trainers are all part of our club and we would encourage them to come along too.

More details will be made available as we get closer to the event. In the meantime, please clear the diary for this black tie event on Saturday 9th August. A fabulous night is guaranteed!

Yours faithfully

David Gilbert (on behalf of the organising committee)
